3. There is an average of 1 in 150 children in the United States who have been diagnosed as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
4. It does not matter what racial , ethnic, or socioeconomic group these children are from. What is known is that it is more prevalent in Caucasian boys than in Caucasian girls, and more widespread in Caucasians than in any other race.
5. Over half a million individuals between the ages of 0 and 21 have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
6. A study published by the Center for Disease Control found that “33%-59% of the children who had Autism Spectrum Disorder also had an Intellectual Disability”(cdc.org).
